Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Gastric IQ (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to comply with them.

2. Description of Service

Gastric IQ is a personal wellness tracking app that helps users monitor gastric load, GLP-1 medication schedules, weight, and related symptoms. The Service provides informational and educational content only and is not a medical device, medical advice, or a substitute for professional healthcare.

3. Medical Disclaimer

The information and calculations provided by Gastric IQ are for personal tracking and informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet, medication, or health.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• Access to premium features requires an active paid subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software comprising the Service are the property of Gastric IQ or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the health data you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gastric IQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app Settings screen (scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account), or by visiting our Account & Data Deletion page. Account deletion is immediate and permanent. If you have an active paid subscription, you must cancel it separately through your original purchase channel before deleting your account to avoid future charges — deletion of your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gastric IQ operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
